Empowered by Hitachi's advanced technology, the purpose of Hitachi Escalators is to enhance comfort combined with a creative ability to flexibly modify their escalators to blend in seamlessly with their surroundings. Developed through many years of dedication and experience, Hitachi's comprehensive command of electrical and electronic technology has brought their escalators as close as possible to perfection. Hitachi escalators are more streamlined, modern and user–friendly than ever.
  • Hitachi Moving Sidewalks: Equipped with high–tech features providing comfort and convenience for passengers. Hitachi has developed innovative moving sidewalks that are available in both "horizontal" and "inclined " styles to function in different types of environments such as airports, train stations and shopping centres, etc. Keeping in mind passengers' convenience and comfort, their moving sidewalks deliver efficiency and reliability by consistently adapting the conditions of operation.

Hitachi Elevator Asia Pte Ltd. was established in December 1972 as an overseas service base for sales installation and maintenance of Hitachi elevators, escalators and moving sidewalks in Singapore. Riding on the growth and development of Singapore and the region, today Hitachi's local R&D Team works closely with their parent company, Hitachi Ltd., Japan, to offer high quality, technologically advanced forms of vertical and horizontal transportation in Asia. Striving to remain on the cutting edge of technology management and design systems, process control engineering and methodologies are reviewed and continually improved to keep up with the global market's demand for higher quality products and services.

In line with the company's aim to consistently improve the quality of products, services as well as their competitive edge, Hitachi Elevator Asia Pte Ltd. established an Integrated Management System that embraces the essence of both the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and SS506 OSHMS (Occupational Safety & Health Management Systems).

In effect since Oct 1st 2010, Hitachi Asia Ltd ("HAS") transferred its entire elevator and escalator business and operation to Hitachi Elevator Asia Pte Ltd. In line with the strategic business decision by the head office, Hitachi, Ltd. in Japan, to restructure Hitachi's elevator and escalator businesses and operations in Asia (including the Middle East but excluding Japan and China). The aim of this restructuring exercise is to provide customers' services and support marketing, sales, design, manufacturing, installation, and the maintenance of Hitachi's elevators and escalators from a single entity.
